Patricia Lamirande

Research Associate

Background: Patricia will graduate from Laval University with a bachelor's degree in mathematics in December 2019. She began mathematical modeling research in 2017 and worked for more than a year on the spread of Lyme disease by ticks. She joined Dr. Marc Brisson's team in the summer of 2019 and, after completing her undergraduate degree, she will undertake a master's degree in epidemiology under his supervision. Passionate about mathematics, she wants to use her knowledge and skills to answer concrete questions in the field of health.

Current projects: Patricia is interested in the mathematical modeling of human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination programs in low and middle-income countries. She will learn how to calibrate and use our HPV-ADVISE model to predict the population-level impact of HPV vaccination in these countries.
